Hello,

We decided to cease the whole operation because we have a lot of things to do and we don't have enough time to maintain both the website and the API. Please use the @consumet/extension project and other available APIs for your project.

So, lack of motivation is our biggest reason not because of lack of funds and ideas but because we just feel burnt out including our solo dev and the rise of issues still occurs and now Anitaku & Vidstream (stream provider) just stopped working and stopped uploading new Anime all together which makes our site cause a lot of issues and even though we fix it with CORS server, the lack of new update just took a toll on our website so much. The risk of hosting one of these is also high that those legal companies start DMCA-ing so many anime streaming websites right now, and we also don't want to lose our name and domain name.

At the end of the day, this is the downside of free and open-source projects. We could actually announce the shutdown right now, but we haven't decided yet because many people have loved this website since it was first released to the public at amvstr. ml.

Please consider trying out other websites and APIs with EverythingMoe or TheIndex to find alternatives.
